Whether you think you are the next Ben Ainslie or Ellen McArthur, or want to try sailing for the first time, then DUSC is the club for you.

The club meets at the Royal Tay Yacht Club (RTYC), easily reached by bus or bike, where we have full use of the club facilities and our own fleet of Laser II dinghies.

If you are new to sailing, as well as some spare sailing kit, the club has plenty of experienced sailors and qualified RYA instructors who will soon show you the ropes and hopefully help you towards an RYA certificate, as six of our members did last year.

For the more experienced amongst you, the club competes in the Scottish Universities League throughout the winter over three/four entertaining weekends of team racing and socials, culminating in three days of exciting racing at the annual Scottish Team Racing Championships in Easter. We compete in the student yachting championships once a year and there is also an opportunity to compete in the RTYC winter and spring series.

The club is one of the most sociable in the university and has a very active social calendar. We have a wide variety of social events on throughout the year, including the annual “booze cruise” at the beginning of October, which is definitely not one to miss as any of our current members will tell you…

For more information or latest gossip, check out the club website, or feel free to get in touch with any of the committee listed above.
