Dundee University RFC is much more than just a rugby club; we are also one of the most social clubs in the university, with our annual Curry-Oke, Campbell’s Crawl, trips to Murrayfield and numerous dinners.
On the playing side we cater for all standards of players from enthusiasts with our renowned Warthog’s select to budding internationals. And with three teams playing on a Wednesday and one on a Saturday, there are opportunities for all. And with our famous post match hospitality everybody is welcome.
DURFC has a successful playing record winning Scottish Unis in 2000, competing in European Uni Championships in 2001 and winning the Scottish Uni Saturday League back to back. The 1st XV were promoted to the top Scottish university division last season and reached the final of the BUSA Shield, including away wins in Newcastle and Exeter.
Over the last three seasons DURFC has developed strong links with one of the top clubs in Scotland: Dundee High School F.P’s (BT Premier Division 1). The club provides us with top class coaching and training facilities, including a newly built leisure complex.
One of the major highlights of the years for all you budding freshers out there, is our annual magical mystery tour with the Warthogs which last year found its way to the beautiful Isle of Man. And with the committee open to ideas who knows where it is destined for this year! All further information can be found on the Sports Union notice boards beside Air Bar. We look forward to you joining us in a season with as much success on the field as off it!
