Throughout the years, boxing has been consistently acknowledged as second to none in the field of all round fitness, and is exactly this fitness that our club aims to bring to any freshers, male or female, who want to burn a few pounds, flatten the stomach and make it up the stairs of the Union without breaking into a cold sweat.

The club is open to members of all levels and abilities. The training will be spit into two groups, one group for members only wanting to keep fit and not compete and the other group for members wanting to train to fight in the various competitions held in the UK.

This year we are also offering discount membership to members of other sports clubs within the university who want to improve their fitness and do some extra training.

The club is one of the most successful within Dundee University Sports Union, having won Club of the Year on many occasions! This season 2005/06 we won a number of medals in the BUSA, Scottish and British and Irish Championships including a number of gold medals. These achievements this year are very significant as it places Dundee University on the map as one of the best university boxing clubs in the UK.

Our two coaches, Brian and Graham Healy, are two of the best coaches in Dundee and have around 45 years experience between them in the boxing world. They have been with the club for 6 years now and have produced gold medal winners every year without fail!
